Centenary 1927–2027

In 2027 the Pontifical Biblical Institute in Jerusalem marks a hundred years since it began its work. The Institute celebrates the centenary with a year of courses and events in Jerusalem.

A hundred years in Jerusalem

The cornerstone of the building was laid in October 1925, and the Jerusalem house of the Pontifical Biblical Institute was inaugurated in July 1927. Its story is told on the page Our history.
