Entrance

The Museum is generally open upon request on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 09:00–12:00. Since we do not have dedicated personnel for the Museum, please be aware that the Museum can be closed without prior notice. Groups of visitors, with their guides, are requested to arrange an appointment before the visit.

Donations

Entrance to the Museum is free. However, maintaining the Museum has its costs. We kindly ask you to support us with a donation of NIS 15 / EUR 5 / $5 per person. Kindly leave your donation in the money box next to the door.

Photographs, social media and publication

Please advise your group that they are allowed to take photographs, without flash. Copyright, however, remains with the Pontifical Biblical Institute, Jerusalem. Use on social media is permitted; please tag us on @pbijerusalem. Any commercial use of the photographs requires the prior written permission of the curator.

Respect of the house

Kindly remember that this is not a public museum, but a working academic and religious institution, with a permanent community, and it remains private property. Please ensure that your group remains within the entrance lobby and the Museum, and refrains from roaming freely around the house and garden.

Should you require further information about the archaeological significance of our collection, or are visiting with a group of archaeologists or students, please be in touch with the curator (admipib@gmail.com), who can advise you further and, depending on availability, may even meet the group and provide explanations as necessary.

Please be aware that, due to staffing and other commitments, we cannot guarantee that the visit will be accommodated. Kindly book at least one week in advance of your intended visit, and await confirmation before making further arrangements.
