The centenary year of the PBI in Jerusalem

In 2027 the Pontifical Biblical Institute in Jerusalem marks a hundred years since it began its work. The Institute will celebrate the centenary with a programme of courses throughout the year.

The cornerstone of the Institute’s building in Jerusalem was laid in October 1925, and the house was inaugurated in July 1927. A hundred years later, the PBI marks its centenary with a year of courses in Jerusalem: for doctoral and post-licentiate students of the Gregorian, for students of the Biblical Institute, for Jesuit students and for other groups.

The programme, which will be completed as the descriptions of the courses become available, is on the page Centenary 1927–2027.
